Sharad Kelkar Enjoying Sweet Holidays!

Television heartthrob, Sharad Kelkar, is now enjoying his holidays at home after his show Bairi Piya (Colors) went off air in the first week of September. He is spending some quality time with family and celebrating ‘Ganesh Chathurti’ with them after a long, long time.

During these ‘Ganapati’ days, Sharad wants to take full advantage of the festive atmosphere and gorge on his favorite sweets. Apparently, the ‘Ganapati festival’ is celebrated at the Kelkar residence with much fanfare.

Sharad was very diet conscious when ‘Bairi Piya’ was on air. But now, he is enjoying all those goodies which he could not at that time. Sharing these moments, Sharad told TellyCafe.com, “Since Ganeshji has arrived at our place, my mom is cooking wonderful tasty offerings to the lord and as she cooks, I take advantage of the offerings and gorge on them. Initially, I was very much conscious about my diet, but now I know that I am on leave, so taking the benefit of the leave, I eat whatever I want to.”

When Sharad was asked about the kinds of delicacies offered to Ganpati, he replied, “All I can say is ‘sweets’ (Laughs), sweets... and more sweets! All kinds of sweets that we offer to Ganeshji are later on consumed by me. I love sweets and thus now days, I don’t control myself while eating them. I thought, no one is going to see me on screen so soon anyway, so why not take advantage of it and eat as much sweet I want.”

Sharad adds, “Though I used to have homemade food on the sets, I was conscious about my intake of sweets. But now as I have got a golden opportunity to have sweets, I won’t leave it.”

Hope Sharad enjoys his ‘sweet’ holidays to the fullest but the audience would love to see him on screen soon so he might have to control his sweet tooth again!
