Monica Bedi is BBC's Desi Girl

Last month TellyChakkar reported about BBC's new task based show on NDTV Imagine tentatively titled Desi Girl. The production house had earlier made Pati Patni aur Who which had celebrity couples taking care of children, right from their infancy to adulthood. And this time they will have hot chicks performing tasks to earn a living for the families they will be assigned to take care of. We had earlier reported that Roshni Chopra,Karishma Tanna and Kashmera Shah are a part of it. And now we hear that Monica Bedi too has been approached for the show and she has agreed. Tanna though is no longer a part of it.

A source informs, "After Roshni and Kashmera, other names like Rakhi Sawant, Monica Bedi, Sambhavna Seth and Payal Rohatgi were approached too. However barring Monica, the others have refused. Karishma was also approached but she is not doing it due to prior commitments. The show is similar to that of Bindass' Big Switch but the tasks here are more demanding, dirty and gruelling."

We sent a text message to all the above-mentioned names, Rohatgi and Sawant reverted saying they are not doing it. Sambhavna said, "I am sorry I can't divulge any information about the show but I am not doing it." All attempts to reach Bedi were futile.

We also texted to Saul Nasse, BBC Worldwide Content and Productions India GM and Creative Head, but he didn't revert.
