Karnik certainly has a reason to smile. <i>Nanhe Jaisalmer</i> has been chosen
as one of the nominees for National awards this year. In addition to that, his
upcoming films <i>Heroes</i> and <i>Roshan</i> are selected for
different categories in the Cannes Film Festival. The festival will be held in
France in the month of May.<br>

Excited about the new happenings in his career, Samir Karnik claimed that
despite the fact that the first copies of both his films (<i>Heroes</i> and <i>
Roshan</i>) were not out; he managed to send a working piece, which has been
accepted by the fraternity of Cannes. Although his films would not be showcased
but just the thought of sending films for a competition category gives him a new
high. <br>

Samir is all praises for the cinematographer, Binod Pradhan. He claimed that
Pradhan's work in both the films was simply outstanding. He went on to add that
it s really difficult to win at Cannes but they are hoping for the best. <br>

Now if that's not a reason to celebrate then what is? </p>
