Chanakya aka Manish Wadhwa to play Chanak in Chandragupta Maurya

Imagine's Chandragupta Maurya will soon see Manish Wadhwa playing another character. While currently this talented actor is essaying the role of Chanakya in this show, the future episode will see him playing Chanak. Incidentally, Chanak is Chanakya’s father.

If you are thinking that will Manish play a double role, then you are mistaken. Incidentally, this biographical saga will go into flashback mode. Currently, Chanakya is shown bedridden in the series. And now he will start reminiscing about his father, Chanak. His father will be shown an aggressive human being and will teach Chanakya the hard way. Chanak will have a diehard spirit and will pass it on to Chanakya. The flashback sequence will also see the death of Chanak. The story will get back to track really soon, and Chanakya will recuperate.

Tellychakkar.com spoke to Manish Wadhwa, who is excited to play the characters of father and son. However, he has brought in some changes in his body language as far as the character of Chanak is concerned. "The two characters share the same qualities, but Chanak is more emotional than Chanakya, hence I have tried playing it differently there and I hope the audiences like it. Another difference is that, the audiences have seen Chanakya for 100 episodes now, but they will get to see Chanak in just one episode, 101."

The flashback scene will be aired on 9 March 2012.
