Default "Television is more demanding than films," says Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam, who made her TV debut with Chand Ke Paar Chalo, rose to fame with Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam on Colors. After having wooed the TV audiences, this beautiful actress is all set to appear on the big screen. She is part of a Bollywood flick, Vicky Donor, which stars Ayushman and is based on the concept of sperm donation.

Yami plays the role of Neha, a broadminded girl, who hails from Bengal, while Ayushman’s character hails from Punjab. “There is everything about infertility in the movie with romance in the background. However, it has been scripted very well and does not look vulgar at all.”

But with a film in her kitty, does that mean this gorgeous star has bid goodbye to the small screen. “At the moment, I am very busy promoting the film. Apart from this movie, I have a few more projects. Honestly, I would like to focus on movies as much as possible. TV is where I started my career, so this medium will always be close to my heart. However, I believe that TV is more demanding than movies. Movies are very different as compared to television, in movies once the image is created it goes on for life, in television we have episodes to cover up if one messes up.”

Talking about her experience as a movie star, Yami is all smiles. “I enjoyed a lot working with Shoojit Sircar (Director), Ayushman and the entire team. Furthermore, Ayushman also hails from Punjab (just like herself) so the bonding was great,” ends Yami.

Here wishing this yumi actress all the luck.
