Karan Tacker, who is presently seen in Cinevistaas’ Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star Plus, is undoubtedly every girl’s heart throb, and the girls who wish to have him as their boy friend can now contact as he has asked us to help him find a suitable girl. “I am very much single, and the long working hours in television does not leave us with time to nurture a new relationship. If you guys know some good girl, please hook me with her (smiles)”, tells Karan Tacker.

The actor who began his career with shows on Star One, Love Ne Mila Di Jodi and Rang Badalti Odhani has a very traditional attitude towards relationships. “Girls need to be given respect. It is very sad that many youngsters have a casual attitude towards their partners. It is very easy to find a new boy friend or a girl friend, but I believe in long term commitments”, avers Karan.

Karan attributes the success of Ek Hazaaron Mein.. to its youthful approach. “We are not regressive although we are a part of the GEC landscape. I think our show can be credited with changing the face of the channel (Star Plus).”

Talking about the similarities between his real self and his character Viren, he tells us, “Similar to my character, I too respect values and parents. But yes, Viren is very extreme in his approach towards values.”

Apart from fiction, Karan would love to take part in a celebrity singing reality show. “I love crooning the songs of Rockstar”. So how about dancing? “I had been offered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but I did not do it as I don’t really have the passion for dance.”

In closing, Karan gives us another nugget of information that that he had been offered the lead role of Naitik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. “But I had then turned it down (3 years back before Love Ne Mila Di Jodi) as I felt I was not mature enough to play husband to a 27 year old lady (Hina Khan), but now with age, I feel that I can play a married man on screen.”
