He is one of the finest actors in town, his comic timing cannot be beaten- Dilip Joshi of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame will be seen as a special guest in Star Plus’ Masterchef Kitchen Ke Superstar. Known to be a foodie, Dilip meets the contestants and challenges them to cook his favorite dish – Dal Dhokli.

The contestants were challenged by the actor and his nephew, Bhavya to make the traditional Dal Dhokli as well as innovate with a few other Gujarati dishes. The dare was tough and pleasing the actors wasn’t easy.

“It was fun to meet Dilipji, I had a blast cooking his favorite dish. He loves food and he was very encouraging and nice, I wanted to make sure that he loves my food,” says Masterchef contestant Ripu.

Dilip Joshi was amazed as to how well his taste buds were treated. He relished the innovation used to make his favorite classical dish and wished the contestants the very best.

The episode will air this Friday, 24 May (2013) at 8pm only Star Plus.

It’s been a tough journey for Mumbai’s very own Sachin Naik in Star Plus’ Masterchef Kitchen ke Superstars. With great enthusiasim Sachin who had entered the top 12 lost out early on his chance to win the coveted title.

However, the wild card entry proved lucky for Sachin. As he put his best chef cap on, Sachin stunned the taste buds of all the 3 judges by preparing a unique form of Raviolli.

“Sachin’s dish brought out the best flavors, he stood through the challenge and emerged the winner,” says Chef Kunal Kapoor, one of the judges on the show.

Masterchef Kitchen ke Superstar has proven to be a great challenge for all the contestants. Will Sachin make it to the Top 5? Will he then give a tough competition to his co-participants?
