Sharad Malhotra popularly known Amar of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann was rumoured to get married to his co-actor Divyanka Tripathi. But Sharad says the news is completely false. He says Divyanka wasn?t even with him on the said day.
"Actually I went to my hometown Kolkatta only for a day during the strike and from there I went to Punjab to meet my cousins. All of us then went to Kashmir. Divyanka was not with us at all,? informs Sharad
"And then when I came back I started receiving calls from various people about my supposed marriage which was quite amusing. I told them you are congratulating me for my marriage then please tell me my wife's name also. I will never get married like this and my family knows this very well. For me it is going to be good publicity!? he laughs.
The buzz was that both Sharad and Divyanka went to Vaishnao Devi and have tied the knot in the presence of select friends and family members. However both the actors have refused saying that Divyanka was holidaying in her hometown Bhopal while Sharad was with his cousins in Kashmir.
The actor says that while Mumbai was rife with rumours of his wedding, he was thoroughly enjoying himself in Kashmir. ?This is the first time that I went to Kashmir. Earlier I had only heard that it is like heaven on Earth but the atmosphere over there is so nice that I really felt like we were in heaven. It was a good break for me but my mother was upset as I spent only one day with her before going to Kashmir,? he signs off.
