Anas Rashid who got popular as Prithviraj Chauhan on Star Plus will now be seen essaying the male lead's role in an upcoming show on the channel..

Anas Rashid who essayed the popular character of Prithviraj Chauhan is back to Star Plus yet again in a new avatar!!
Star Plus and makers of Sajan Ghar Jaana Hain, Shashi and Sumeet Mittal are coming up with a show on a Rajasthani backdrop. The yet untitled show is a unique love story wherein the protagonists get married in some unforeseen circumstances, after which love blossoms between them.
We hear that Anas Rashid will play the male lead in the show. New face Hina is the female lead. Kanika Maheshwari will play the negative lead, while noted actor Ashok Lokhande will play father to the male lead. Anita Kulkarni will play the female lead's mother.
Our source states, "Many known faces were auditioned for the role of the male lead. Finally it is Anas Rashid who has bagged the role and has signed on the dotted lines".
Anas who got extremely popular as Prithviraj Chauhan was last seen as the lead in COLORS' Aise Karo Naa Vidaa.
The show is expected to go on floors in December, and the launch will happen sometime in January 2011.
When contacted, Anas Rashid refused to comment. We sent a text message to Producer Sumeet Mittal, but did not get any revert.
