Veena Malik's suitor wish list
She's reportedly posed nude on the cover of FHM magazine and denied that she did so. She got oodles of publicity following her protest that the photo had been morphed. She sparred with the magazine's publishers asking them for compensation to the tune of Rs 100 million, but her protest got muted thereafter and her demand for money seems to have died down.
So what is the voluptuous and sexy Veena Malik up to these days? Oh, she is getting signed up to do an item number in a film. Then she has been busy putting together a wish list on the kind of man she would like to have as her suitor on Veena Ka Vivaah.
Well, for one the potential grooms have to be influential. Second they have to be rich. Not just rich, filthy rich to be precise, because the gal has expensive tastes and lifestyle. Third, they can belong to any religion as caste is no barrier. Fourth: each of them has to have a sense of humor.
Fifth: she is serious about getting married on TV and staying married thereafter (Ha, ha, we totally believe this one, after the failure of Rakhi Sawant and Ratan Rajput to go ahead with their wedding vows after committing to do so on their respective Rakhi Ka Swayamvar and Ratan Ka Rishta shows. And Veena getting and stayed married at a time when she is seeking to build a career in Bollywood seems highly unlikely if not impossible).
Nonetheless, the buzz is that the production house has aggressively been looking for suitable wannabe grooms who fit the profile of the suitor that Veena wants. Casting is on and in the initial round some 100 wannabe grooms will be rounded up only to be screened down to 20 before the show commences in January.
Meanwhile, Veena Ka Vivaah's have started appearing on television, and Imagine is really banking heavily on it to do better than Ratan did last year in terms of ratings.
No one from the channel Imagine TV or the production house was available for comment.
