Zee Rishtey Awards 2010 – A Sneak Peek Into The Grand Evening

Zee has truly lived up to its tagline, har pal banaye, ek naya rishta (a new relation every moment). For the last 18 years Zee has built up a strong relationship with its audience and celebrated the year with Zee Rishtey Awards 2010, Jashn 18 Saalon Ka this Saturday. The Zee Rishtey Awards 2010 was held at MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
A huge cake was cut by the 40 most iconic people of the channel. The presence of Subhash Chandra Goel, the Chairman of Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd. (ZEEL) and Essel Group made the evening more special.

Actors whom Zee regularly brings to our drawing room were also there. The list included Iqbal Khan, Gaurav Chopra, Sushant Rajput, Karan Grover, Nishant Malkani, Ankita Lokhande, Nivedita Tiwary, Himmanshoo Malhotra, Avinash Sachdev and Ratan Rajput. Veterans like Rita Bhaduri, Neena Gupta, Niki Aneja, Aruna Irani, Usha Nadkarni, Navneet Nishan and Divyanka Tripathi also attended the show.

An opulent rath yatra marked the beginning of the evening. A grand entry was made by the lead protagonists of all the shows and each one of them was followed by a group of dancers.

‘Dance India Dance’ winner, Shakti Mohan, along with fellow contestant, Dharmesh Yelande, brought the house down with a marvelous performance on ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’. Not to be missed was a dance off between the newbies and veterans of Zee. Binny Sharma and Iqbal Khan did a sizzling rain dance. A magic act by Manav and Archana made the evening more magical.

Katrina Kaif graced the occasion with her costar Akshay Kumar and director Farah Khan, to promote their new film, ‘Tees Maar Khan’, scheduled to hit the theatres this Christmas. Akshay Kumar made a grand entry in true ‘Tees Maar Khan’ style; he was handcuffed to a police van that came on stage. Katrina and Farah shook their legs to ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’ that is the latest anthem of the youth.

All in all a grand evening high on style meter, not to be missed when air on Zee TV.
