Telly Buzz had extensively reported about Zee TV and Big Synergy working on a fiction show that was supposed to launch post IPL.
We had also reported that Iqbal Khan and Aniruddh Dave had apparently been finalized to play the male leads in the show. The show was planned to be the tale of a girl who is married to a mentally challenged guy. She tries her best to support her husband by being an independent woman, but in the process her life gets messed up when a Rajput guy falls for her at first sight and wants to get her at any cost.
The latest on the show is that the channel and production house had some disputes regarding creative issues associated with the show. This has probably forced the channel to scrap the show or postpone it indefinitely, until they get a new production house to take things forward.
According to our source, "There were many hurdles when it came to finalizing the cast for the show. Though Aniruddh Dave had almost been finalized to play one of the male leads, the hunt for the second lead took lot of time. Finally, the team zeroed in on Iqbal Khan. But the major problem was to find a proper female lead for the show. After series of auditions, they short listed Divyanka Tripathi and Sanjeeda Sheikh for the role. However, both the actors chose to accept other offers that came their way. This forced the production house to hold auditions again. They again short listed few names to play the leading lady. But in the meantime, things did not fall in place between the channel and production house, as they had some differences when it came to the script. And now it looks like the show has been scrapped by the channel".
